All i want to do in this journal is simple
I want to say good luck tomorrow everyone. in ireland the junior certificate and leaving certificate exams start in the morning, and i'm sure everyone is really not looking forward to them. dont worry, they're not as bad as the mocks were
trust me on that one, and after you've done them you have the promise of the two months of celebrations during the summer.
for you sitting the Leaving Cert this year, you are now entering the most important part of your education, and also the most fullfilling. while the exams are difficult at best, the feeling you get walking out of each exam and knowing you need never look at the subject again in your life is the best feeling in the world. I would advise not burning all your notes and books until the 18th of August though
just in case you need to repeat any subjects next year!
Its mad to think it's been three years since i did mine... this time three years ago i was sitting in an exam!!! really puts into perspective how much things have changed... i always get this total feel of wtf when exam season hits because i've done so little with my life, but finally i feel i have something to be proud of. its just mad cause it feels like yesterday i was sitting on the lawns between exams complaining about how bad each paper had been, and its actually been three years. i can actually still see me and two other girls, whos names i've even forgotten by now, sitting on the grass chatting about the exam, just after i sat my maths paper one and they were doing junior cert irish. wow... time flies.
So here's to all those sitting their exams tomorrow onwards, and heres to the best summer of your lives to follow it. i'm hoping at least some of my friends will choose to spend their post leaving cert holiday here with me, and everyone else, just go and enjoy it
