We've finally done it guys, finally we've taken back the music industry. it took us a while, a long while admittedly, but i'm happy to announce that on 19th December 2009 at 6pm it was officially confirmed that Rage Against The Machine had taken the UK Christmas Number One with their classic song "Killing In The Name Of".

Personally, I think this is a great breakthrough for real music. For the first time in years we have a Christmas Number One which isn't just the over rated over produced crap they give us every other year. For once it's not the latest pop craze thats taken the spot, for once its not X-Factor or Pop Idol spewing out the same old shite that is going to be played every year. For once we have a song to be proud of, a song what we can hear on the radio every xmas for years to come and actually enjoy, actually apreciate hearing. Hell, if this isn't something to be proud of what is.

It's been a great year of change in the world, a year what we can only describe as phenominal. After all, what other years in history have brought this many great changes.

A Black man has become President of the USA. People said it would never happen, that there would never be a hope in hell of it happening. but Obama proved us all wrong by taking the US Presidential elections by storm. Even if he does nothing in his time in office, he's already changed the world by getting to that point.

A badly written vampire novel has taken over the world and become its own religion. Twilightism took over the teenage world, and suddenly it was cool to be reading again. Admittedly the book itself was a disapointment, and the movies were nothing short of an atrocity, but at least some good came out of it as it brought more people back into the world of reading, and hopefully at least somewhat increased the intelligence levels of the general public.

The Americans are finally pulling out of their warzones. Thanks to Obama and his people the number of soldiers being sent out to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq has dropped considerably in the past six months. more people are being brought home, and less are being sent out. Is this finally a sign of the world peace we all hope for? i can but hope.

And a Good Metal Song hit Christmas number one. Thanks to Rage Against the Machine, who are giving a large percentage of their profits from the christmas sales to charity :D

i can only hope that next year will be even better for changes

Well said ma'am. he is and he isn't. we cannot just pull right out because it leaves a bad print on us but we cannot finish our other missions without ppl. but for the most part, man power there is being pulled from there. either way this year was long and eventful and interesting yr. ^-^
